I have deep interest in
Hindi language and can work on improving writing and communication skill in
that language. This will support teachers to teach their students in a better
way and they can be able to handle this task with needed expertise and
sensitivity while teaching language in classroom. This part also caters others
dimension of cognitive development like ability to think, listen, speak and
connecting the real experience with the current questions to find solution of
the problems of life.
Language part also
covers the ability to visualize about future and prediction of events in one’s
life. During my fellowship I took deep interest in the strong presence of Pass book in primary education system from class 3rd to 8th. I
found that this is adversely affecting the student’s ability to think and
answer a question. If they get a question to solve they copy from Pass Book and
bring it back to teacher. In such situation the real evaluation of the students
is missing and the answer of Pass Book is being evaluated and this is not going
to support the student’s development.
Students can write in a
better way but they are not able to read and understand the written text in
their copy. This situation demands more efforts from the language teacher and
he need to aware about such problems and be ready to provide solution in coming
future. This will yield in better learning level of the students and they will
be more confident about their own answer gained directly from text book
prescribed in the syllabus.
The library needs to be
strengthened to make students aware of the magic of written language in books.
This will inspire children to read book of their own. Once they got the taste
of reading they will continue this habit in coming life. This is certain that
this reading habit will impact their life the way they think and approach life
situations to resolve it.
